Pandemic Holiday

According to dictionary.com, “Halloween is the evening of October 31; the eve of All Saints' Day; Allhallows Eve: observed especially by children in costumes who solicit treats, often by threatening minor pranks.”

This year, for students at Simpson University, Halloween just seemed like another weekend, but with costumes. Many students including myself went to Nash Ranch to do the haunted corn maze which included being chased by a guy with a chainsaw.

Julie Engelsman of Residence Life said in an email that Residence Life did not plan any events this year, but lots of RAs had fall themed floor events throughout October.

With Halloween over,Thanksgiving and Christmas are right around the corner. In order for us to continue to stay on campus, we must continue to stay smart and safe during this pandemic.
